Intertek Westport Technology Center: Providing On-site Solutions in Real Time

The Westport Technology Center provides global wellsite sampling, analysis and interpretation to the petroleum industry. The services are focused on providing information that is critical for well site decisions or performing geochemical sampling, analysis and interpretation activities must be done at the wellsite. The services are offered globally through Caleb Brett’s global laboratory network.

Automated Real-time Methane Isotope System (ARMIS™)
• Provides real-time carbon and deuterium isotope analysis of methane in mudgas
• Provides real-time concentrations of methane and ethane in mudgas
• Operates continuously during drilling
• Provides data for immediate evaluation of shows for testing, well correlation, reservoir continuity, etc.

Dead Oil Contamination and Compositional Analysis (DOCA)
• Provides level of oil-based mud contamination of reservoir fluid samples
• Does not disturb live samples
• Answer within an hour of removing sampler
• Provides immediate measure of quality of reservoir fluid samples for PVT analysis
