Intertek operates a well equipped petroleum and chemical testing and inspection services laboratory located close to the Thames and M25 near London. The West Thurrock laboratory offers testing services to the greater London region, Purfleet, England, the United Kingdom and global clients. The lab is ISO 17025 and UKAS accredited. The laboratory offers expertise in the analysis and testing of petroleum products, fuels, lubricants and gases.

Full sampling and testing services are available:
Techniques used include ASTM, BS, EN, ISO, IP, DIN' EP, USP. Gasoline is tested to BS EN 228. Jet A-1 is tested to AFQJOS, checklist issue 19, DEF-STAN 91-91 issue 4. Diesel Fuels are tested to EN590. Marine Fuels tested to ISO 8217. Burning Fuels tested to BS 2869. Avgas tested to DEF-STAN 91-90 and ASTM D910. 		West Thurrock Products tested include:
