Particulate Matter Emission Measurement

Determination of particulate matter emitted from stationary sources

Intertek provides expertise and state-of-the-art equipment for sampling and analyzing particulate matter in moving gas streams, including Stack emissions and Vent emissions. Depending on the situation Intertek emission sampling and analysis procedures are tailored to meet specific plant and site conditions.

Interek helps customers establish if emissions are within permit requirements, determine the efficiency of gas cleaning systems and identify which emissions are causing complaints.

Emission measurement capabilities include

Particulate matter in moving gas streams is measured in accordance with NEN-ISO 9096 / NEN-EN 13284-1. The gravimetric determination of the concentration of particulate matter in a moving gas stream is based on a sample flow being extracted for a measured period of time. The concentration is calculated from the mass and volume of the sample relative to standard conditions.
