Spiral flow determination and evaluation

Traditional Isothermal measurements like MFI, capillary rheology and torsion measurements don't always provide adequate information on the behaviour of your materials during the injection molding process.

Intertek has capabilities of performing spiral flow evaluation experiments which can provide you with the required information. A material is injection moulded in a spiral mould under customer specified conditions. The path length of material in the spiral mold is an indication of the flowing behaviour of your product. Often this type of measurement is compared against a reference material.
