Analysis of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons

Intertek performs PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) analysis in a range of samples. PAHs are used for different reasons in a variety of products, for example as plasticizer in vulcanised rubber or as black pigment in plastics and lacquers.

From 1 April 2008 PAHs testing is mandatory for GS recognition. Analysis has to show that the levels present in the product are in accordance to the regulations. Intertek performs these analyses in accordance to ZEK 01-08 methods.
