Bisphenol-A Analysis

Bisphenol A (BPA) test method for child use and care articles

Intertek provides migration tests and analysis of bispenol A in feeding bottles, drinking cups and other accessories for child use according to EN 14350-2. BPA is extracted from test articles into food simulant and identified by High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

Migration of BPA shall not exceed 3mg/kg, as regulated in directive 2002/72/EC of the European Communities.

Intertek provides test methods for the following requirements for child use and care articles:

   

  • Bisphenol A (BPA)
  • Migration of specific elements
  • N-Nitrosamines and N-Nitrosatables release
  • MBT release
  • Anti-oxidants release
  • Volatile compounds content
