Determination of microbiological parameters in water

Intertek offers tests for the determination of microbiological (bacteriological) parameters. Intertek has an experienced laboratory staff and a dedicated laboratory for this. The tests are performed in accordance to the suitable NEN statutes.

Monitoring of waste- and surface water
Monitoring of the quality of natural swimming water
Analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials and products
Testing of domestic products

Available bacteriological determinations:

NEN 6571 – Total coli (membrane filtration)
NEN 6570 – Thermo tolerant coli (membrane filtration)
NEN 9308-2 – Escherichia coli (titer plate method)
NEN 6274 – Phaecal streptococci (membrane filtration)
NEN 7899-1 Intestinale enterococci (titer plate method)
Microcystine – ELISA kit

Cyanobacteria

Cyanobacteria, also known als blue-green algae, blue-green bacteria or cyanophyta, can produce the toxic microcystine. The concentration of microcystine can be determined by the ELISA analysis, in accordance to the protocol formulated by the national task group cyanobacteria.
