Intertek has multiple injection moulding systems with various moulds to process a large variety of test specimens.
Recently, we have expanded our processing activities with an application to process lacquer plates. These plates can be used for research activities (in e.g. automotive, household and other industries) to test paints and coatings in relation to plastics. We can process small or large batches against the latest standards demanded by e.g. the automotive industry.
Application
Contamination is a very critical aspect in processing these test plates. Intertek Polychemlab has an application covering an integrated combination of injection moulding equipment, a robot system and a computer controlled cutting facility.
The Arburg 720S 3200-1300 has a mould with 2 cavities able to mould lacquer plates with a dimensions of 120 x 120 x 3,2 mm.
The injection moulding equipment can also be used for screw and mould research. It is possible to use the mould or screw of customers in our equipment and we do have an increasing numbers of moulds available within Intertek. |
