Intertek has the capability to measure the dimensions of all kind of articles very accurately with a 3-D measuring device. The accuracy is dependant on the size of the article but will be about 4 µm. A typical application for this technique is the combination with injection molding to determine the so called mold shrinkage. The method is based on ISO 294-4.
