Solvent Deasphalting:

• Solvent deasphalting, feedstock preparation for lube oil and asphalt studies can be handled on PARC Unit P73, which charges vacuum residue, handles light hydrocarbon solvents (C3, C4, C5, or mixtures).  P73 has an operating range to 650 psig and 500 °F with feed rates between 1-3 gal/hr.  PARC Unit P-74 is employed for programs that require C5+ heavy solvents and has an operating range to 4,000 psig and 950°F at 400 ccs/hr.

Solvent Dewaxing:

• Solvent Dewaxing services are available on the PARC Continuous, Rotary Filter Unit P71. Capabilities include charge rates up to 2.5 gal./hr. of waxy feedstock, and temperatures of -25°F with continuous solvent recovery. Typical solvents used are MEK, toluene and MIBK.
