Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is a powerful technique for extremely high resolution analysis of a wide range of sample types. The samples are prepared by creating ultra thin sections following suitable sample treatment such as fixing or staining. Particles and solid materials may also be analysed using alternative sample preparation techniques. TEM is ideal for determining the particle sizes of nanoscale materials and biological microscopy applications.
GLP TEM
Intertek NWTC has a unique capability to perform transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to good laboratory practice (GLP) guideline standards and has been inspected and approved by the MHRA for this. Applications include tissue microscopy to support clinical trials within the pharmaceutical industry, blood buffy coat sample analysis and viral particle detection for cell lines used in the biopharma industry.
