Light microscopy not only provides a physical understanding of material, usually in its natural state, but when suitably stained, it can provide chemical information allied to the structure of the material. When applied to the world of Home and Personal Care (HPC), light microscopy, in all its
variations, has proved to be a very powerful tool in understanding Home and Personal Care (HPC) products, target substrates and their interactions.
