The NWTC Laboratory provides an extensive range of expertise related to the analysis of fibres, fabrics and textiles. This includes all types of fibers, including man made (synthetic, polyester, nylon, etc), natural (cotton, hair, etc), microfibres and blended fabrics.

Fibre/Fiber Analysis:
The fibre laboratory specialises in the examination of fibres before and after various treatments, including wear and damage at both the surface and cross-sectional levels. Surface analysis capabilities range from the macro to the nano-scale, including the capability to measure/analyse chemical depositions.
The fibre laboratory provides interpretation of analytical test results if requested, drawing on resident expertise of over 30 years.
