Deformulation is a method of analysing a formulated chemical product and separating it into its constituent components and identifying each compound and the quantity present so that the end result is a “recipe” for the product. Clients can have many reasons for deformulation of products such as checking a product for banned substances, confirmation of product identity, benchmarking or competitor product reverse engineering. We can help you understand the nature of the various components of a formulation, ingredient concentration and how these components and ingredients interact. Formulation studies are run for quality control issues and for evaluating market penetration of particular components. |
