Intertek West Lab Norway tests petroleum, natural gas and other hydrocarbons and chemicals. The lab tests water, drilling fluids, sediments, petroleum products as well as unique flow calibrations and for cargo inspection services. The Norway laboratory is ISO-IEC 17025 accredited.

Drilling Fluids and Cements Testing:
- Formation damage studies
- Core flooding studies
- Testing of drilling mud
- Quality control of mud formulations
- High pressure, high temperature casing cement quality, testing of casing cements
- Gas migration problems, gas migration test rig (JVS 1000)
- Research testing of new cement slurries and additives under different well and reservoir conditions
- Research testing of cement to meet requirements for permanent abandonment of production and exploration wells.
- Consulting services for drilling fluids, cement technology and personnel training
Petroleum Products Testing:
- Preventive maintenance of rotating equipment using petroleum products like lube oils, motor oils & hydraulic oils
- Spectral oil analysis program (SOAP) including routine control of wear elements, additives
- Contamination & physical properties
- Quality control of hydraulic oil, turbine oil, water content, solids, particle counting
- Organic contamination and microbiological bacteriologic activity
Flow Calibration:
- Mass flow meter calibration for fiscal flow measurements of oil and gas
- Meter prover calibration with Brooks Compact Provers
- Calibration of orifice plates and gas meter tubes regarding Gas Measurements
- Oil density meter and length measurement calibrations
- Accredited calibration of third party Compact Provers

- Design, planning, purchasing and full operation of on-site laboratories
