Intertek Group plc (Intertek), a leading international provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries, announced that its Consumer Goods Group has acquired Biodata Analytik GmbH from its parent company K+S Consulting GmbH.
Biodata is located in Germany, and is an independent laboratory within the agriculture, food and environment industry. Biodata’s area of expertise includes the analysis and evaluation of foods. Biodata also tests grains, feeds and other agriculturally related products. Laboratory expertise includes GMO testing. Biodata also analyzes and evaluates the quality of water, soil, air and waste products like compost and sewage sludge.
Biodata provides testing services from the manufacturer to the retailer. Biodata works in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice and has the necessary approvals and accreditations for the range of services offered.
Biodata has the necessary approvals and certifications and is a founder member of the German Association of Independent Testing laboratories. Furthermore, the company has a GLP certification and is accredited against the Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Associations (FOSFA) standards, which supports the Agri activities of Intertek as well.
