Cotton Quality Testing and Inspection Services

Intertek operates an advanced cotton laboratory and independent inspection service in Azerbaijan. Intertek Agri Services provides Pre-shipment inspection of raw cotton exports. Experienced cotton classers and supervisors will undertake sampling, classification and weighing before shipment.

Cotton related testing and inspection services:

A fully equipped cotton assesment laboratory provides
the latest instruments for testing.

The lab provides classification for:

• Raw cotton
• Cotton waste (linter, uluk)
• Micronaire testing
• Cotton staple lengths

Cotton Shipment quantity control and supervision:

• Supervision of weighing
• Supervision of loading
• Visual external damage control
• Shipment inspection

Classification of raw cotton by grades against:

• American Standards (USDA)
• Azeri Official Standards

The laboratory is accredited to GOST standard, Certificate AZ 031.01.10.0235.04. Our methodology and inspection procedures fully comply with current international  standards and norms such as ASTM, GAFTA, FOSFA, GATT, ISO, USDA, GOST etc.
