GLP and GMP/cGMP Trace Metals Analysis
The Intertek ASG laboratory is able to offer GLP metals analysis and testing for other inorganic elements and ions in clinical samples including whole blood, plasma, serum, solid tissue and tissue culture media, cell lysates, urine and other fluids. A range of technology options are available for analysis. This range of technology combined with GLP registration and automation equips the laboratory well for scientific investigations, method development and validation as well as cost effective high throughput regulatory studies.
Examples of technical capabilities for analysis of metals, inorganic components and ions include:
- Rapid assessment of total element content using ICP-OES and ICP-MS
- Detection and quantification of metals and trace elements using ICP-MS
- Detection and quantification of anions and cations such as phosphate, halide, sulphate, sodium and other alkali metals, ammonium salts and amino acids by ion chromatography
- Detection and quantification of sugars and polysaccharides by ion chromatography
- Elemental mapping of tissue samples with SEM-EDAX
- GLP biological tissue electron microscopy
- Labelling with gold colloids and other staining techniques of tissue samples for imaging with TEM
Intertek ASG is able to combine testing for inorganic constituents with other techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC and GC-MS, CE and Immunoassay techniques within a single laboratory.
A Class II Bio sample handling facility is available on site and is equipped to handle clinical or diagnostic specimens.
