Trace and Elemental Analysis

The Intertek ASG Laboratory is highly experienced in trace metals and other elemental analysis. In addition to excellent instrumentation, there is a wealth of experience in application to a diverse range of sample and matrix types. The instruments are qualified to GLP and GMP/cGMP standards allowing Intertek ASG data to be used in regulatory submissions and in the quality control of pharmaceuticals, herbal and medicinal products and foods.

Atomic Spectroscopic Capabilities and Services Include:

  • ICP-AES / ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Flame (FAAS / AES) instrumentation qualified to GMP standards
  • First rate method development capability across diverse product types (fine / specialty chemicals, environmental materials)
  • Extensive experience of method validation to ICH and FDA guidelines for pharmaceutical products
  • Capability in trace heavy metals determination for clinical and non-clinical medicinal products and foods
  • Elemental analysis in biological materials, including GLP and GMP studies
  • Problem solving / troubleshooting in early phase research projects
  • Semi quantitative analysis and fingerprinting
  • Cost effective high throughput capability for routine applications

Elemental Microanalysis - CHN, CHNS

Analytical services for the determination of elemental composition in milligram amounts of sample. Intertek ASG provides a comprehensive elemental analysis assay service for the determination of the elemental composition of organic and organometallic compounds. The standard assays available are as follows:
