Intertek Acquires Louisiana Meter Services, Inc.

HOUSTON, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Intertek, the leading international provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries, announces that its Oil, Chemical and Agri division (Caleb Brett), has acquired Louisiana Meter Services, Inc. (LMS).

LMS provides liquid meter-proving services for the downstream petroleum and petrochemical industries, offering sales and service of liquid metering to petrochemical plant and petroleum refinery load-rack terminal operations. The acquisition of LMS gives Intertek a solid foundation in this market. Mr. Audie Pankhurst, Manager and co-owner of LMS, will manage the LMS-related business at Intertek. The eight LMS employees will transfer
to Intertek.

LMS services complement existing Intertek business in liquid and gas measurement metering capabilities, provided to the offshore exploration and production industry by Intertek KCS. The two operations will take advantage of complementary services, common market opportunities, efficiencies and resources.
