Intertek provides extensive product testing from the new analytical laboratory and inspection facility in the Port of Santos. The Port of Santos serves as a major petrochemical and agricultural export and import zone for Brasil.

There are two Intertek laboratories in the Santos facility, one focused on petrochemical analysis and other for agricultural product testing, including soybeans and sugar. Intertek services are required generally by importers and exporters to ensure product quality and custody transfer.

At Alemoa, Intertek continues to perform important quality tests for sugar and petrochemicals shipping from the port area.

Intertek offers a network of 15 offices and 7 laboratories in Brazil located at important petroleum, petrochemical and agricultural industrial zones for fast and efficient service. Santos is one of the most complete and modern laboratories in this network.
