FDA Nutrition Facts Label Testing for the USA Market.

Intertek helps companies meet FDA, USDA and other related food label compliance. We help clients meet FDA nutritional labeling regulations and avoid costly product recalls. We provide consumer label information for the nutrients, vitamins and minerals essential for human and animal nutritional needs. The New Orleans USA laboratory analyzes food products for 14 nutritional elements, mandatory components required by the FDA for labeling purposes.
Sample Requirements:
The Laboratory requires approximately two (2) pounds or liters of the product for the testing.

Label Project Time Required:
A typical testing and labeling project has a turnaround time of 20 working days. Rush projects are subject to an additional fee.

Testing Service Fees:
Fees for nutritional testing starts at $650 (USD). Fees vary according to product and testing required.
Fees for mandatory nutritional testing:
  • Test Results within 20 business days (four weeks or less): $650 per sample
  • Voluntary components listing require additional testing and fees


Sample Volume Discounts:
Volume discounts start with at 5 samples. Contact us to discuss your project in more detail regarding testing and labeling requirements. The lab offers rapid testing and labeling upon receipt of your samples.
