Intertek Pakistan Acheives PSQCA Recognition for ISO 17020 Compliance

February 2008:

Intertek Pakistan has become the first inspection and testing company in Pakistan to be recognised by PSQCA under Inspection Bodies Recognition Scheme (PSQCA Act 1996 & Government of Pakistan, Registration and Regulation of Inspection Agencies Rule, 1981(SRO(1)/82). Intertek has been issued IB 001 as Inspection Bodies number under this scheme.

Previously, inspection companies were registered with PSQCA but were not recognised as compliant against ISO17020:1998. Intertek will be placed on PSQCA website, wherever the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between government agencies is involved, only recognised inspection companies under this scheme will be used.

With the PSQCA recognition, Intertek are authorised to provide MRA related and approved services.
