Description

The Intertek 2000 Temperature Controller is a compact portable instrument providing state of the art control functions via a Eurotherm 3000 series controller. The basic instrument provides for PID control including a self-tune feature and temperature trip. Additional features include programmable Ramp rates, Dwell times, delayed switch-on timer and soft start functions for difficult thermal loads. A typical programme may consist of eight segments, re: ramp, dwell, ramp, dwell etc.

For additional safety a second independent instrument is used as an over temperature trip as recommended by Eurotherm Ltd, where damage or injury is possible.

The controller can handle loads up to a maximum power of 3KW and has facilities for programming a high alarm trip value, which if exceeded will automatically trip out power applied to the load via a relay. Instrument status information and set / reset functions are achieved via front panel indicators and push buttons.

The Eurotherm controller also has facilities allowing the operator to programme up to 15 messages into a scrolling display. Each message can be used to convey information regarding fault conditions or programme sequence status.
