Support for High Throughput Research
High Output Research Protocols: in recent years ASG has developed numerous innovative approaches to enhance the throughput and value of data generated in the research environment. Examples include enhanced cost effectiveness of the volume spectroscopy services in NMR and Mass Spectrometry, through the implementation of a combination of rapid sample transportation & input arrangements, robotic equipment and advanced data sharing systems for direct transfer of volume analytical data to chemists in the receiving organisation. ASG, especially through its Computational Chemistry services, has also helped chemists with programmes for the management & interpretation of data in order to streamline the data collection and analysis process. In addition to the streamlining process, data has been enriched to simplify the chemists' job: real colours are displayed, powerful standardised plots show a large amount of information in an accessible format. Supporting the implementation of a robotics system highlights include the adoption of an NMR spectra management tool for rapid data assessment by the customer and Spotfire data visualisation techniques to aid the presentation & assessment of volume analytical and product characterisation results. Overall, customers have benefited from faster, more reliable response times, reduced sample unit costs and better integration & exploitation of data within their own business processes.
