Are you interested in measuring uniaxial length change of your product as it responds to temperature change?
If so, the Intertek MSG Thermal Properties Laboratory may be able to help. We are experienced in producing CLTE data for various materials including films, fibres, polymers, resins, composites and metals.
Typically a solid will expand in response to heating and contract as it is cooled. As a sample of known dimensional size is exposed to a specified temperature regime, such dimensional changes can be accurately measured using Thermomechanical Analysis. From this data, the Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion can be calculated.
