Collect Information
Communicate up and down the supply chain
List substances produced and used
Study guidance given in MSDSs
Document operational conditions and management of operations on sites
Discuss with suppliers to predict needs and ensure supplies of goods and information
Work with Intertek in prepartion of any required testing regime
For Chemical Manufacturers and Importers affected by REACH:
List substances, establish identity and uses
Check information sources for data on properties (EU, OECD, in house, supply chain, any other sources)
Start the process as soon as possible, don't leave data generation until the last minute

A Technical Dossier must be submitted to EU for chemicals placed on EU market >1t
A Chemical Safety Report CSR must be submitted to EU for chemicals placed on EU market >10t
For placing on the market and import of chemicals containing Substances of Very High Concern SVHC an Authorisation is required
An extended Safety Data Sheet eSDS must be provided to downstream users of chemicals
Supply chain information must be requested by importer of consumer products from non-EU manufacturer in which Substances of Very High Concern SVHC must be listed, if > 0.1% and EU must be notified
